Inspired by the likes of Kierkegaard, ‘Nature of Things’ imagines garments produced by a community of people obsessed with getting to the source of what it means to be human. In recognizing that we are animals, they live their lives practicing only the fundamental intrinsic differences between themselves and animals: art and philosophy. Imagining their time spent developing textiles, and considering how their humanimal lifestyle determines whether they are more human, or less human than others.
