Threads of Rhythm is a collection that celebrates the fusion of Indo-Caribbean fashion, rooted in the designer’s identity as an Indo-Caribbean woman. It draws from the beautiful duality of her cultural heritage -where the vibrant energy of Carnival meets the graceful traditions of Mehendi and Maticoor nights. Each piece is created for movement; blending bold color, fluid silhouettes, and rhythmic detail to reflect a seamless dialogue between cultures. The collection becomes a living expression of identity, where every gesture carries the spirit, history, and harmony of Indo-Caribbean celebration.

Devala is an Indo Caribbean designer who strives to promote the decolonization of the fashion industry through representing Indo Caribbean culture in her work. She often takes inspiration from her Guyanese upbringing to create meaningful pieces of work that tell a story through a fresh cultural lens.
