Back When

Tiana DeFrancesco

Back When explores the evolution of friendship over time; how closeness can stretch into distance and how absence often turns into longing. Rooted in the childhood connections that shaped who we are, the collection reflects on relationships that were once constant but gradually faded through change, silence, and missed moments. Through contrasting textures, nostalgic colours, and loose ends, the collection becomes a metaphor for friendships that have given us both joy and hardship, warmth and comfort, and shared memories, sometimes leaving behind fragmented relationships and unfinished conversations. Though these friendships may no longer exist in the present, they live on through memory, offering comfort, reflection, and a quiet reminder of who we once were.
