My work is an art installation that combines textile art and social issues, exploring the survival of stray cats and society’s concern for marginalized lives. Using textile materials as the main medium, the work combines punch needle and wool felting to delicately reproduce the texture of cat hair and uses clay to create a more visually striking 3D effect, showing the gestures and characteristics of different cats, presenting their personalities and state of being. The soft touch not only enhances the viewer’s sensory experience but also symbolizes the stray cats’ desire for warmth and security.
Through this work, I hope to inspire the audience to think about the relationship between humans and animals and to pay attention to the survival of stray cats. It is not only an artistic creation but also an expression of emotion, hoping to inspire society to pay attention to animal welfare and encourage people to give more understanding and care to these marginalized lives.
