Ripping at the Seams

My work explores the emotions and psychology behind life transitions – what we choose to keep and what we let go of. Through a collection of simple, wearable silhouettes, I focus on movement and adaptability, reflecting the fluid nature of change.

Each piece is layered with handcraft techniques that create a tactile connection between maker and material, emphasizing sustainability through sentimentality. I see clothing as more than just fabric – it is a personal artifact that grounds us during times of transformation.

By incorporating symbols, motifs, and memories into my designs, I create garments that tell stories while pushing back against fast fashion. My collection highlights the emotional connection we can have with clothing, encouraging people to cherish and care for what they wear rather than treating fashion as disposable. Ultimately, I want my work to challenge throwaway culture and inspire more thoughtful, lasting relationships with the things we carry with us.
