TREATEE is a digital archive website that documents the T-Shirts worn, designed and manufactured by Indigenous Peoples across the (broken) Treaties. This project frames the T-Shirt as consequential material culture that is used for social/political activism by physically disrupting colonial spaces while also challenging standing definitions of what is considered Indigenous Fashion. Each T-Shirt has an individual story about collective existence which embodies the unique and intersecting cultures of Indigenous Peoples. TREATEE serves as a referential tool that reflects upon Indigenous topics by showcasing badass Indigenous T-Shirts.
