This nightwear collection is comprised of three contrasting garments – these designs are inspired by different natural elements and are meant to symbolize individuality. They represent how people’s aspirations and ideas can be vastly different and how there is no correct or linear way to approach life. The collection was paired with an anthology of short stories that further emphasizes the importance of individuality. The collection of garments and short stories were largely inspired by the TV show “Bewitched”, which aired in 1964 – the show sparked controversy and conversation of whether or not the life of a housewife and mother is disempowering. This collection is a response to that conversation and showcases how there is no “correct” way to live freely. It presents how true empowerment is simply the freedom to choose your way of life.
