This project explores identity, consumer choices, and personal style among lower-middle-class adults in the Greater Toronto Area. In the form of a short film and lookbook showcasing various backgrounds and perspectives across the city, Gaff seeks to highlight how style reflects not only personal taste but also life experiences, values, and socioeconomic realities. Through a journalistic approach, this project’s documentary captures authentic stories and thoughts, emphasizing the connection between lifestyle choices and self-presentation. Gaff encourages thoughtful reflection on fashion as a storytelling medium to represent a community of young adults navigating visual identity.
