Follow ZERO, a spy, as she adopts various identities to complete her mission in CAMOUFLAGE. Reminiscent of Barbie, Totally Spies!, and Powerpuff Girls games from the early 2010s, CAMOUFLAGE is a three-level pixel art video game & styling project that explores how fashion contributes to the loss of identity. As ZERO adopts and discards various identities, she begins to lose sight of her true self—ultimately resulting in her mission going awry. ZERO’s struggle parallels the contemporary fashion industry, where artists are forced to alternate between the styles of various established creators, and individual style begins to blend with that of the inspiration. Ultimately, CAMOUFLAGE dissects how exploring various forms of fashion can contribute to the loss of one’s creative identity.
