With the theme of “tears”, human beings are the only creatures that can produce emotional tears, which carry multiple meanings – they can symbolize sadness, joy, relief, and even silent resilience. Many emotions cannot be expressed in words because they are very complex, but only tears know. I try to capture the complexity of these hidden emotions. Each tear may seem ordinary, but it contains a unique story and an emotional moment that cannot be replicated. Through carefully selected materials, delicate craftsmanship and production, I hope to reveal the light and specialness contained in each tear.
In addition, my work not only focuses on the expression of emotions, but also on triggering the viewer’s empathy. My design language tries to restore the fragility and strength, transience and eternity of tears. This is not only an expression of emotion, but also a profound exploration and interpretation of the complexity of human emotions. I hope to arouse people’s sensitivity and attention to emotions, and at the same time give more meaning to tears – they are not only an outlet for emotions, but also a witness to every real moment in life.
