LYNÉ by Jacqueline

JACQUELINE SHEN

LYNÉ showcases and celebrates femininity — revealing trendy styles originating from Asian countries such as Vietnam and China. As an Asian-Canadian designer in Canada, there is a significant gap in the market when it comes to offering stylish Asian fashion options. This gap presents a unique opportunity to introduce and promote these dynamic fashion influences, thereby enriching the Canadian fashion landscape.

LYNÉ focuses on creating unique statement pieces that not only reflect personal creativity but also embody the distinctive aesthetics and rich cultural narratives of the brand. This resonates deeply with my approach to design, where I place a strong emphasis on the idea that fashion should be a powerful medium for self-expression. My specialization in women’s wear is driven by a desire to empower individuals to confidently convey their individuality through thoughtfully designed and stylish articles of clothing.

In my future endeavors, I aspire to contribute to the ever-evolving dialogue around representation in fashion. I envision my work aligning with LYNÉ’s mission to elevate underrepresented styles, allowing individuals to explore their identities and express their personal narratives through fashion. At LYNÉ, we like to illuminate the beauty of diverse cultural aesthetics within the realm of contemporary fashion. Together, I believe we can redefine the norms of style and carve out a space that celebrates the fusion of individuality and community.

This collection presents an opportunity to introduce and promote dynamic fashion influences from Asia. LYNÉ has this goal to bring ideas to life through endless experimentation, careful attention to detail,  and seamless execution which is an ethos that aligns with the values of developing LYNÉ — my capstone collection brand.
