ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Belen Romero

As a designer, I follow 3 main principles; decolonization and inclusivity and sustainability. Bringing my Peruvian culture, my own experiences being plus size, and making the most of what I have. This collection was designed based off my Peruvian heritage and my high school alternative, goth young self. I never felt that there were clothes that were the black alternative goth style with Hispanic flare. Therefore, I decided to make the clothes my young self would have loved and myself now would love. I did this by mixing a darker style with Peruvian silhouettes and patterns in a dark modern aesthetic.
