The Myth of Her

The Myth of Her is a two-part digital fashion collection with 14 looks, seven in each version, exploring identity as a constructed and performative act.
Inspired by The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, the project examines how women navigate glamour, visibility, and power within male-dominated systems. The first version presents a direct depiction of Evelyn, with each look representing a stage of her life and translating emotions such as ambition, intimacy, loss, and reinvention into silhouette and form. The second version reinterprets these looks through my own personality, showing how I would transform them. Created in CLO3D, the collection treats fashion as narrative, revealing the emotional labor behind curated public images.

    Hello! My name is Diya Panchal, and I am a final-year fashion student at Toronto Metropolitan University. My work lives at the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and digital innovation, where I leverage CLO3D to bridge the gap between conceptual 2D sketches and high-fidelity 3D reality. My design philosophy is rooted in precision and sustainability. By integrating 3D simulation into the earliest stages of the creative process, I am able to iterate rapidly, reduce physical textile waste, and explore complex silhouettes that push the boundaries of conventional garment construction. I view digital fashion not just as a tool for visualization, but as a medium to redefine how we perceive fit, drape, and the overall lifecycle of a garment. Driven by a curiosity for technical execution and a sharp eye for contemporary aesthetics, I am focused on creating digital-first solutions that streamline production without sacrificing the artistry of fashion.
