To look is the essence of Indian Maximalism. Bright colours, contrasted by intricate patterns, and tied together by bold typography — you can’t help but turn your head.

This project was inspired by the “Why?” behind this design movement that has been so structurally integrated into India’s visual landscape. The work in this publication speaks to Maximalism in design as a form of resistance. What does it mean to be too much when you’re given too little?
